- The following are key dates :
- Application form open : September 1(Sun), 2012 JST.
- Entry due : September 30(Mon),2013 JST.
- Technical sheet due: October 15(Tus), 2013 JST.
- A participation fee of below is required per robot
- Adult : 3000 yen
- University students : 2000 yen
- Highschool students : 1000 yen
- Participants from overseas should pay the fee at the reception counter on the day of the contests.

Half-size Micromouse Contest (Preliminary)
The size of maze, the coodinates of goal and the time limit are follows :
- size of maze: 16x16
- entrance of goal area : x3 y5
- size of goal area : 2x2 blocks
- There is no pole in the goal area
- time limit for a micromouse : 7 minutes
Half-size Micromouse Contest (Final)
The size of maze, the coodinates of goal and the time limit are follows :
- size of maze: 32x32
- entrance of goal area : x6 y5
- size of goal area : 3x3 blocks
- There is no pole in the goal area
- time limit for a micromouse : 10 minutes
Important announcements about contest
1. Limit of the number of micromouse to register in each contest- A contestant can entry only one robot for a contest. It is possible to enter in all the contest.
However, seeded contestant can register another micromouse in preliminary round.
If the micromouse passes the round, the person can choose which micromouse to run in final round.
- It will start from Micromouse2014.
- The details are now under consideration and will be announced later. The spesific rules such as entry qualification is to follow the present thinking.
- From 2014, Expert Class of Micromouse Classic Contest will be renamed Classic Micromouse Contest.
- Only person who lives in Japan have entry qualification.
- We don't give research grant.
Change of the management about the seeded micromouse
For activation of Japanese domestic local contests etc. the number of the seeded micromouse is changed as following.The Half-sized Micromouse Contest
- If 5 or more micromouse compete, one micromouse will be seeded.
- If 15 or more micromouse compete, one is added and two micromouse will be seeded.
- If 30 or more micromouse compete, two are added and three micromouse will be seeded. (If 10 or more micromouse compete, one micromouse is seeded. If 30 or more micromouse compete, one is added and two micromouse is seeded now.)
- If 10 or more micromouse compete, one micromouse will be seeded.
- If 25 or more micromouse compete, one is added and two micromouse will be seeded.
- If 50 or more micromouse compete, two are added and three micromouse will be seeded. (If 10 or more micromouse compete, one micromouse is seeded. If 30 or more micromouse compete, one is added and two micromouse is seeded now.)
